About Us
Tony is the principal for Wynne's Marine and his expertise in marine equipment maintenance and repair stems from forty years of working with the boating and automobile industries. Starting out as a journeyman mechanic, Tony worked his way up to the Technical Service Manager for British Leyland Industries. Upon retirement from the corporation, and having built an Endurance 37 Ketch from the hull up, Tony made a transatlantic voyage from South Africa ending in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Founding Wynne’s Marine in Fort Lauderdale in 1988, Tony built his business of servicing and maintaining vessels of all sizes. His higher education in diesel mechanics allows him to be an expert serviceman of the engines using this fuel, and his experience of constructing a boat from blueprint engendered the intimate knowledge of boat design and materials needed to repair anything from plumbing to fiberglass.
Working on large and small boats alike, Tony has many years of experience servicing, maintaining, and renovating all types of marine hulls, engines, and interiors.
