The Tao
Altruistically I claim to
Seek from the Tao
Wisdom
Charity
Clarity.
Selfishly I
Seek from the Tao
Goodness
Peace of mind
Growth of soul
Freedom of spirit
Hope for the future.
I recognize by letting go
I gain a hundredfold
I recognize by giving
I receive a hundredfold
I recognize by loving
I am loved beyond conception.
The Tao is not my master
But is my guide
Toward enlightenment.
To say is easy
To do is so very very hard
I strive to not be self-righteous
In my goals
Yet I am.
I am unworthy
Of the wisdom
Of the Tao.
I harbor an awakening spirit.
